CROCKERS HAVE BEEN PRODUCING ALUMINIUM STRUCTURES FOR OVER 30 YEARS. WE USE OUR OWN DESIGNS ON THE ALUMINIUM SECTION AND ALL OTHER ASPECTS OF THE STRUCTURE

Crocker Brothers were one of the first UK Companies to design and manufacture aluminium structures and have now been hiring and manufacturing their structures from 2mtrs – 20mtrs wide for over 30 years.

When Geoff Crocker started designing the first Proto-Types of Aluminium Structures all those years ago he asked Nottingham University to help with supplying him with data of the British Climate over a 50 year period and using this data a bench mark was set to produce aluminium structures that would withstand the worst of these conditions that is considered 160kph (100mph).

The assistance of renowned Structural Engineer – Dr Garry Fawcett was sourced to assist with the design and specification and over the next couple of years Crocker Brothers produced a range of quality aluminium structures for hire and sale, some of those structures are still erected 30 years on and have withstood wind, rain and snow aplenty.

Our Aluminium Frames are a full aluminium structure offering a clear span unit (no internal poles or legs) that can be easily erected on either hard or soft surfaces. The PVC Roof and Wall covers slide easily into the Keder channels that are extruded within the aluminium profile allowing a neat and water tight finish to the structure.

We use a range of different size aluminium profiles depending on the width or span of the marquee required. For example our smaller size frames (2mtr / 3mtr / 6mtr) use the same aluminium profile and so all the joints, legs, interconnecting purlins, pins, walls etc... are all interchangeable and allow a greater flexibility to stock especially to marquee hire companies.

Over the years we have improved designs and introduced new frames and structures to our ever expanding stock list but we have never taken our eye off the most important factor that is safety and reassurance of our marquees in extreme weather conditions. Our large structures still carry the 100mph wind loading and 100mm snow loading on their Structural Calculations and the minimum bench-mark we set ourselves is 70mph for our mid range frames and 56mph for our smaller range frames.

Erecting our Aluminium structures is relatively easy for 3-4 people for marquee frames in any length up to our 15mtr wide range, the 16mtr & 20mtr structures are erected in the same way but due to the heavier profile requires a larger team to assist with the build.
